When Chiefs defensive tackle Chris Jones elected to hold out from training camp, quarterback Patrick Mahomes figured he would be back in the building by now. Mahomes said as much during his Wednesday press conference. But now Jones, who is seeking a new contract, has said that he might not report until Week Eight. Patrick Mahomes returned to the NFL's mountaintop in the desert in February and has claimed the player-chosen crown six months later.  The Chiefs quarterback was named the best player in the league as part of the annual NFL 100, as voted by his contemporaries. A two-time Super Bowl champion and two-time MVP of that game and the 2018 and 2022, Mahomes is favored to take home the ultimate prize this season. Patrick, 27, is pictured in the viral photo in the arms of his father, Pat Sr., who was a former professional baseball pitcher in Major League Baseball (MLB) from 1992 to 2003 with the Minnesota Twins, Boston Red Sox, New York Mets, Texas Rangers, Chicago Cubs, and Pittsburgh Pirates. The fitness instructor and former pro-soccer player shared the cutest bath toy on her Instagram Stories — and it’s both adorable and affordable.
