Nick Kyrgios continues to stir up controversy.  The Australian recently questioned why Marketa Vondrousova made more money than Novak Djokovic at Wimbledon as he attempted to justify Coco Gauff earning less than the men's winner at the Citi Open. Having battled a series of injuries over the last few months, Kyrgios has played just one match this season, which he lost. The Aussie also withdrew from the 2023 Wimbledon Championships and is yet to decide the date of his return to the tour. Nick Kyrgios first suffered an injury during last year's Japan Open.  Earlier this year, the 28-year-old was set to compete at the United Cup but he withdrew his name at the eleventh hour. Wimbledon organisers announced in November female competitors would now be permitted to wear dark undershorts and relieve a potential source of anxiety when they have their periods.  All players were previously banned from wearing coloured underwear since 2014 as part of Wimbledon's all-white clothing policy. "I was on my period last year during Wimbledon and it was very stressful. I mean, you have the the period underwear and stuff to help you but it's still in the back of your mind. "Sometimes, and I know when you go to the bathroom, you're supposed to use the bathroom, but I would go to the bathroom just to check and make sure nothing was showing.
