The latest Team USA performance by an All-Star is commended by LeBron James

Preparing for the FIBA World Cup, Los Angeles Lakers guard Austin Reaves and the rest of the American squad took on Germany in their final tune-up game before the real competition started.

Though Reaves closed the game strong against Germany, it was an All-Star performance from one of the youngest on Team USA, that caught the attention of Lakers superstar Lebron James on Sunday night.

James wasn't the only one to shout young Timberwolves guard Anthony Edwards out, as Ant Man led the Americans in scoring with an efficient 34 to close out their European foes.

Down early in the third quarter an eventual 18-0 run from the states closed the Germans out as Edwards picked apart their defense from both the three point line and in the paint.

Flashing all the right moves that have made him so great, Edwards isn't just getting the attention of those watching at home, but from the American coaching staff that is leading the team into battle on a nightly basis.

"He's unquestionably the guy," Team USA coach Steve Kerr said of Edwards. "You can see he knows it. But now the team knows it, and I think the fans see it. ... He genuinely believes he's the best player in the gym every single night. And he's such a dynamic young player. I think he's taking a leap."
